ALL FOR KIDS ORGANIZATION (AFK) known as Angkor Kids Center (AKC) is a remote community project, non-profit, non-political, non-religious educational organization registered with the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia. Located in SamRong Village, Leang Dai Commune, Angkor Thom District, Siem Rep Province, Cambodia.
Its mission is to aid rural communities in improving their standards of living, with a focus on increasing access to qualified education. This informal education takes initiatives; AKC is supporting education for over 600 families in one village primarily, average of 5 people per family. They believe that education is the key to sustainable change, and committed to a holistic developmental approach which empowers children, parents, teachers, and communities to make the positive changes they want to see in their lives.
Furthermore, English language is a potential key to suit the modern national educational system, which mean each students should be well trained. More importantly, Tourism Skills play crucial keys to success in carreer development both fresh and full force adults.
Angkor Kids Center (AKC) was named and established on the 9th September 2009 by Mr. Sam, it has grown up from day to day. In the past 10 years Angkor Kids Center (AKC) have been working hard to build infrastructure and develop the right curriculum in English language classes and basic computer literature for children and young people in rural areas. All courses are offered without paying any money. AFT also help to find opportunities for scholarships to continue studying in universities and vocational training schools in the town center. At the same time, the Angkor Kids Center has built their dreams up and develop its long term project plans to create a vocational training center in tourism and hospitality focus on Cooking and Food & Beverage Service programs on site at Angkor Kids Center location. In line with the progressing on English language and computer classes from year to years, in 2020 AKC have been discussing and planning to create and set up an AKC’s restaurant training center for the youth and students who graduate from high school and haven’t got any jobs after the graduation.
In addition, to help them gain new skills and without paying fees. The Center will also provide assistance in finding a job after completing a one-year apprenticeship with the center. And at the later stages, we have also developed a plan to run a restaurant in the city as part of the project, which provides opportunities for our graduates to join and help them practicing and building their capabilities or makes them work more efficiently after get another job in other place.
As a long-term goal, this is a master plan to seeking for financial independence that allows the Angkor Kids Center to cover some of its own work costs for AKC’s English class projects and training center in addition to all supporters and donors.
